Interim Manager – Nursing Home

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Interim Manager for a Nursing Home in Hampshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing home management and dementia care. This is an interim contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide leadership and management to the nursing home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home, including staff management, budget control, and resource allocation.
– Implement and maintain effective care plans for residents, with a particular focus on those with dementia.

– Ensure the delivery of person-centered care that meets the individual needs of each resident.
– Manage and support the nursing and care staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
– Liaise with residents’ families and external healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.

– Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards, including CQC requirements.
– Handle any issues or complaints efficiently and professionally, maintaining a positive environment for residents and staff.
– Report regularly to senior management on the performance and progress of the nursing home.

Essential Skills and Experience:

– Proven experience in nursing home management, with a focus on dementia care.
– Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
– Excellent understanding of CQC standards and other relevant regulations.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
– Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
– A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
