We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our clients small residential elderly homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care home management and elderly care, with a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to the residents.
The home is well regarded in the local community and is rated ‘Good’ by CQC.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
– Lead and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
– Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
– Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff to maintain high standards of care.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, risk assessments, and medication management.
– Liaise with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
– Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and supplies to ensure efficient and effective operation of the home.
– Ensure the home provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
– Stay informed about industry developments and best practices to continually improve the quality of care provided.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Registered Manager qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent).
– Proven experience in a managerial role within a residential care home setting.
– In-depth knowledge of elderly care, including dementia care and end-of-life care.
– Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
– Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
– A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and standards in the care home sector.
– Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.
